Pop stars came together last night (April 27) in Hollywood to celebrate the songwriters behind the hits at the 28th annual ASCAP Pop Awards.
Former makeout buddies Adam Lambert, still rocking his new goatee (don’t like it? suck it!), and a glittery Ke$ha presented the award for Songwriter of the Year to pop’s most in demand hitmakers, Dr. Luke and Max Martin, who are — not even kidding — responsible for at least 90% of the pop songs on the radio.
Train‘s Pat Monahan took home the award for Song of the Year for the band’s ubiquitous hit “Hey, Soul Sister.”
Among the other stars attending, presenting, or performing at the bash were Ne-Yo, Mike Posner, Darren Criss, and Taio Cruz.
